Jazz, Latin grooves and horn sections - the 12th edition of the Zurich jazznojazz festival promises to be more exciting than ever. Sponsored by the Zurich electric power station (ewz) and the Zurich Cantonal Bank (ZKB), jazznojazz 2010 will offer four nights of awesome music from 27. - 30. October. This year's festival programme features no less than 18 concerts at the following venues: Theaterhaus Gessnerallee, ewz-Unterwerk Selnau and the ZKB JazzClub in the Theater der Künste. The line-up features jazz visionaries such as Wayne Shorter, John Scofield and Dan Berglund, hyped newcomer-bands such as Neil Cowley, Christian Scott and Rusconi, and Latin virtuosos, e.g. Monty Alexander, Esperanza Spalding and Céu. These acts, as well as powerful and rhythmic horn phrases from the likes of Tower of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the legendary Crusaders and Jazzkantine, are guaranteed to provide the ultimate jazznojazz mix experience!
