Fatima Moumouni says: "I am a wet dream of intersectionality theory, if you only interpret it sloppily enough! Predestined for all those progressive topics that are so unsettling these days: 'WHAT CAN ONE STILL SAY NOWADAYS?!' That's why I'm invited as a token or messiah to all kinds of events dealing with anti-racism, discrimination, migration and even flight. Absurd, as far as the latter is concerned. I always tell white people that I believe that insecurity in such topics is a good thing because it allows us to take a step back and question. I feel very safe in this position! But if you promote insecurity, you should also be insecure yourself!
This is exactly what happens in this series, in which Moumouni wants to bring a moment on stage where unpleasant questions are asked to which one may not have the answers at first. And/or moments that are unusual because the speakers reveal a deficit: How do I deal with people I haven't listened to much? Quite unsettling! It's about normalizing, not having to look good when you are addressed about deficits or just not being confident yet. And to look even better because you don't defend yourself so unsexy! So away from a defensive attitude, towards ... what actually?
This time with Yuvviki Dioh!
