The first listening session of the series _Other Planes of There _will be performed by Vanessa Lorenzo and Oliver Keller. Bringing along a very special sound repertoire, they travel from the Romandie to Zurich. Their sounds will take the listeners on a journey to an alternative future. With a self-made moss instrument, which the artists* play with natural radioactivity, they refer to a post-anthropocentric future.
In her artistic practice, Vanessa Lorenzo interweaves human beings, technology and more than human.Trained as an industrial design engineer, she takes a critical look at technology and tries to facilitate unpredictable sympathies between species. Oliver Keller was originally an engineer and developed mechatronic and electronic systems in the industrial sector until he became an employee at CERN in Geneva in 2013. He is currently researching new types of instruments and conducts physics experiments on natural radioactivity. They collaborate in international projects such as Living Instruments and the Mycelium Collective.
