Constructive Interference is an experimental opera on Lake Zurich. The artist Maria Magdalena Kozłowska will use the surface of the water to amplify her voice and enter into a dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
The work is part of an ongoing research by Maria Magdalena Kozłowska, a performer and director of Polish origin living in Amsterdam. She has long explored the intertwining of voice and landscape. She collaborates with musicians and opera singers and creates musical solos, often in public spaces. In her performances, she approaches the voice in an interdisciplinary way. She brings linguistics, philosophy and cultural studies into her artistic practice, which moves on the border between music theatre, video and performance art.
